Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The Texas Observer is a progressive bi-weekly magazine that has covered politics, arts, and culture in Texas for 53 years. The Observer pursues stories that are ignored or unreported in the mainstream press and publishes a wide variety of book reviews, essays, poetry, and commentary. With a devoted readership and a history of courageous journalism from the likes of Molly Ivins and Jim Hightower, The Texas Observer has been at the forefront of Texas politics since 1954.

"The Observer is the finest example of pure journalism I know. It does, in fact, comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. If you’ve ever wondered whether there’s more going on out there, try the Observer. There is." – Molly Ivins

You will receive incisive journalism, analysis, and writing on the arts in the pages of The Texas Observer every two weeks. Twice a year, in the summer and winter, the Observer publishes a special issue devoted to books and the culture, and then skips an issue.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - I gave one star more than it deserves!
Is this magazine supposed to be balanced and informative?

Between Molly Ivins and Jim Hightower, there are no bigger liberals in Texas.

I recommend passing on this one.
